We're a group of friends who were tired of paying the inflated prices that most movie houses charge.

We noticed the State Theatre had sat idle for two years, so in July 2004 we began putting into the works our creative vision of offering the best in first run and independent films, limited releases, art, and foreign films in an historic venue. Yes, a class act. No, not a cash-cow.

We promised ourselves to keep costs real.

We promised to show films worth seeing--not films distributors wanted run.

We swore no sticky floor! We HATE filthy theaters where the floors are covered in sugary glue and trash. That is SO not okay.

If you know of an independent or special interest film being ignored by the Big Guys, let us know about it. Maybe we can get it. We're open to suggestions. When did you ever hear MallMovie say that?!
